On Mindu, we’re all about value that feels good on both sides. Pricing your item well can help it sell quickly and build trust with buyers—especially when it comes to secondhand kids’ clothing, toys, and gear.

Here’s how to price with confidence:

  • Check Similar Listings
    • Look at comparable items on Mindu to get a sense of what others are charging. This is one of the easiest ways to make sure you’re pricing in line with what buyers expect.

  • Use Typical Discount Ranges as a Guide
    • Buyers usually expect to pay:

      • Clothing: 50%–70% off retail, depending on brand and condition.
      • Toys: 40%–60% off, with higher pricing for wooden, Montessori-style, or popular brands like Lovevery.
      • Baby Gear (strollers, high chairs, etc.): 30%–60% off, especially for premium brands like UPPAbaby, BabyBjörn, or Nuna.
    • If your item is new with tags, you can stay closer to 20%–40% off the original price.
    • If it’s well-worn or missing parts, lean toward the higher discount end.

  • Consider Item Condition
    • New or like-new items can be priced higher, while visible wear should be reflected in a lower price. Always be transparent about flaws—honesty builds trust and saves time.

  • Think About Shipping Costs
    • Since buyers pay for delivery, be mindful of the total cost when setting your price. If the item is heavy or large, buyers may hesitate if the combined price feels too high.

  • Stay Flexible
    • If your item isn’t selling, consider adjusting the price or refreshing the listing with clearer photos or a better description. A small change can make a big difference.

Transparency and fairness go a long way in the Mindu community. A well-priced item paired with honest photos and details builds buyer trust—and helps your item find its next home faster.
